Description

Extremely rare and beautiful (display) watch by Longines, “Rätt Tid” (Exact Time), precise chronometer for the dealer and watchmaker, 1940s. The cardanic system of a ship’s chronometer is mounted on a wooden base above a silver-mirrored plate. The clock is mounted in a heavy brass pot, just like in a ship’s chronometer. The chronometer movement has a beautiful silver-plated dial with applied hour-markers. A recessed sub-dial for the small seconds above the “6”. The 50-hour power reserve indicator under the “12”. The movement, which lies under a glass dust cover, has 17 jewels and is adjusted in three positions. Comes with a beautiful new wooden transport box.

Estimated value: € 5,400.00
