Beautiful and well known Jaeger LeCoultre Table Clock with 8-day movement, mostly called “Rue de la Paix” from the 60ies. This model exists in many variations and with other street names as well. Die cast metal case, painted or gold plated. The watch was sold in various countries under the names of LeCoultre and of Jaeger. The variation of movements include a standard movement, an alarm and a recital alarm, please see this clock for details.
The lampshades are either translucent acrylic , beige or white. The colors are gold, black or green, and (very rare!) burgundy. The street names are mostly from Paris, “Rue de la Paix”, “Avenue Victor Hugo”, “Place de Concorde”, “Rue Royale”. Germany, Hamburg Reeperbahn, USA New York Wall Street, New Orleans Bourbon Street. This list includes clocks in our collection, though we would be delighted to hear from more variations of this beautiful clock model. This clock rests in a box where we replaced the inlay with a new one since the old one turned to dust.
We add a reprint of the only known Certificate from an american dealer “The street of Paris”.
This is a Rue de la Paix in black from LeCoultre.
