Description

Jaeger-LeCoultre table clock with 8-day baton movement from the 1970s. With an optically freestanding dial with engraved Roman numerals, inlaid in black, with stylized lilies inlaid in black in between. The lily is a playful reference to the lily in the coat of arms of the Bourbon dynasty, the ruling dynasty of the kings of France after 1589. The clock is glazed on all sides so that the slender baton movement is shown to its best advantage. Dial, movement and case unsigned.
